Message of Dean
Faculty of Medicine at Misr University for Science and Technology always aimed to provide the best compassionate and caring physicians through excellence in teaching regarding patient care and medical research seeking to prepare them to take up the challenges of tomorrow.
I’m proud to lead our college with commitment to progress through excellence in medical education, quality assurance, medical research and patient care.
Open door is my policy and I will allocate part of my time to receive and hear opinions and comments on all aspects of our systems. Working together with our efficient dedicated members of the faculty, staff and students in order to improve development and advance our medical education system.
In the recent years, our college has become a place to pursue a medical education by shifting to competency based medical education with fully updated facilities, a redesigned integrated modular curriculum that introduces early clinical experiences, and new academic partnerships and global initiatives. We are pointed aggressively to the future; our medical students now participate in learning communities that bring together small groups of students centered and their advisors to enhance personal attention and a sense of community services within the larger competent-based educational environment .This has resulted in new educational and student facilities, including a fully equipped state-of-the- art Simulated Skill Lab .
There was a massive effort and creativity by so many faculty members within the College of Medicine who gave their time to upgrade our medical policies, the thing that has resulted in having a perfect, complete, fully equipped, and well operated University Hospital (Sauad Kafafi teaching Hospital SKH). We are ready to extend our clinical teaching experience in medical education which is practiced by teams of clinicians who come together in examination rooms, causality, ORs or ICUs to heal patients. This leads to the transition from passive learning to active by team-based learning facilities. Moreover, our mission is transmitted to community- based services by mobile OR and fully designed field convey that cover all the specialties, thanks to the generosity and support of the Family Foundation of Misr University for science and technology
Finally, our main goal is directed to have a competent professional graduate as a health care provider, promoter, scholar scientist and lifelong learner and researcher.
